Cosmic STEAM Summer Camp
Our Cosmic STEAM Summer Program at Near Southside Montessori in Fort Worth is inspired by the Montessori philosophy of Cosmic Education, guiding children from the wonders of the universe to the interconnected world around them.
Through hands-on STEAM activities, science experiments, engineering challenges, art, nature exploration, and observation, children engage with big ideas in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
While our full Montessori summer camp experience is designed for children ages 3–8, our infant and toddler classrooms also participate in the same weekly themes, creating a cohesive and connected learning experience for children ages 6 weeks and up.
Each week of our summer program builds upon the last, helping children develop a deeper understanding of the natural world while fostering independence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning in a nurturing Montessori environment.
Cosmic Exploration
Summer 1

Children explore galaxies, stars, and the vastness of space.
☀️ June 8th - 12th: Our Solar System
Learning about the sun, planets, and how they move through space.
🌎 June 15th - 19th: Planet Earth
Understanding our home in the universe, continents, oceans, and the layers of our planet.
🏔 June 22nd - 26th: Landforms & Water
Mountains, volcanoes, rivers, valleys, oceans, and how the Earth's surface changes.
⛅ June 29th -July 2nd: Weather & Atmosphere
Wind, clouds, storms, and the water cycle.
Young Innovators
Summer 2
After exploring our place in the universe, campers continue their scientific journey through engineering, environmental science, and creative experimentation.

Plants, animals, ecosystems, and how living things depend on our planet.
⚙️ July 13th - 17th: Young Engineers
Children explore building, balance, and simple machines through hands-on engineering challenges.
🔬 July 20th - 24th: Inventors Workshop
Young innovators design, prototype, and test their own inventions.
🌿 July 27th - 31st: Eco Innovators
Campers investigate sustainability, ecosystems, and how humans care for the Earth.
🎨 August 3rd - 7th: Art & Science Lab
Where creativity meets experimentation through color chemistry, sculpture engineering, and collaborative art
Camp Hours & Tuition
Core Camp: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM $250/week
Camp + Extended Care: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM $315/week
Extended care includes snacktime, outdoor play, quiet activities, and afternoon enrichment.
