We’re so glad you’re here.

Near Southside Montessori, directed by Fairmount Montessori Founder Emily McDermott, offers high-quality, community-centered childcare and early education for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. Rooted in Montessori philosophy, our program honors each child’s natural curiosity and inner potential through a thoughtful, child-led approach.

Grounded in Maria Montessori’s vision of Cosmic Education, we guide children to explore the interconnectedness of the world around them, cultivating a deep sense of wonder, responsibility, and belonging. Our environments foster independence, creativity, emotional confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, all within a culture built on respect, inclusion, and care.

Through storytelling, hands-on materials, and purposeful exploration, Near Southside Montessori nurtures confident, compassionate learners who come to understand their unique place in the larger world.

Located in Fort Worth’s vibrant Near Southside community, our school blends time-honored Montessori principles with the energy and diversity of a growing neighborhood. We are currently welcoming interest for Summer and Fall 2026, with limited availability.

We are proud to offer families reliable, loving, and intentional care in an environment where each child is deeply known, thoughtfully supported, and guided to thrive.

We believe that when a child is seen, supported, and inspired, they blossom into capable, curious, and compassionate learners, rooted in community and led by wonder.
