    Emily Skipper McDermott

Ms. Emily is thrilled to start her sixth year as a lead teacher in a Montessori classroom. Emily is a Fort Worth native, graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with her English Degree, and went back to complete her Master's in Education Administration just this year. In addition to all the kids she teaches, Ms. Emily has three kids of her own. She always knew she wanted to be a mother, but it wasn’t until 2020 that she turned her love of children into a passion for early childhood education and sought out her Montessori Teacher Certification. In addition to Montessori principles, Ms. Emily relies heavily on her musical background as a teaching aid. As a neuroscience-informed teacher, she knows too well the positive effects of music on the newly developing brain.
